Plastic bags are an economical and versatile packaging that allows products to be marketed with a high degree of customization.
These formats are common in sectors such as the chemical or food industry, whose use is becoming widespread due to their low cost and their ability to adapt to any solid, pasty or liquid product.
Labeling of empty bags
Depending on the type of industry or product to be packaged, an off-line system may be needed to allow vacuum labeling of the package before entering the production line.
Let’s look at some of these cases for:
- Customize product packaging.
This off-line system is suitable for both semi-automatic and automatic filling. - Filling different products on different production lines. In this way, the bags can be labeled and/or marked before being introduced into the filling line, using a single labeling machine for all of them.
This will reduce costs and optimize processes. - Manual filling of products (meat, animal feed, …) where bags are normally labeled and/or marked under vacuum.
Characteristics of empty bag labelers
In MarCoPack we design machinery for the labeling of bags before filling, adapting to the needs of the company, including:
- Application of pre-printed labels
- Application of customized labels: if the labels require some customization such as textual information (expiration dates, batch number,…), barcodes, etc.
In this case, the labeling machine must include a simultaneousin-line printing and applicationsystem. - Number of labels: our machinery can apply from 1 to 7 labels with exact locations that can be programmed for each process.
- Adaptation to different sizes of bags or sacks.
- Printing speed.
Use of industrial bags and sacks
Polyethylene bags are usually high-capacity and highly resistant containers, as they are manufactured with a high grammage.
They are used in the food, cosmetic and chemical industries.
Their versatility, being able to adapt to any size, shape and design; their high resistance to cracks, abrasive acids, organic solvents and electrolytes; and their cost, make them one of the most common packaging.
The bags are delivered in packages that must be opened and placed on the labeling machine belt for individual printing, adjusting the required printing parameters such as number of labels, position of the label(s) and the content to be printed.
In MarCoPack equipment, this operation will be performed through a user-friendly touch panel incorporated in the machine.
If custom labels are to be applied, the labeling machine must include a simultaneous in-line printing and application system, which allows all marking to be done in a single process.
In the following video you can see an empty sack printing solution in operation:
The label materials can be made of paper or polyethylene, which are more resistant, and are supplied on reels, which must be loaded into the machine.
MarCoPack labelers include an audible end-of-label and end-of-bag warning system, requiring minimal human interaction, thus reducing labor.
All machinery designed by MarCoPack is manufactured to meet the customer’s needs, analyzing the optimal solution for each industry. Tell us what features your bag and sack labeling machine must meet and we will design a customized solution for you!Contact us!
